I have been working for Haiman Hogue since July 2019 as legal assistant to founding partner, Rex Hogue and our Medicaid/VA attorney, Jeff Crouch. I earned my undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in 1987 and my Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now, Texas A&M School of Law) in 1994. From 1983 to 1985 I attended Texas Tech University, where I played on the Texas Tech Women’s Tennis Team. My legal background includes bankruptcy, mortgage banking, litigation and personal injury. I am new to the estate planning and elder law areas, but can already tell that I’m going to love it.
I have two grown children from my first marriage, who are my pride and joy – Nathan (21), who is a Senior and plays baseball for the University of Dallas Crusaders, and Lauren (18), who recently moved to Norman, Oklahoma to start college. For several years I worked part-time or not at all, so that I could work full-time raising my children. In 2012, I married Bert DeLaGarza, who has three children from his previous marriage. Together, Bert’s children have given us three grandchildren with the fourth on her way.
I absolutely love animals, love to bake and am an avid baseball fan, especially when my son is playing. I am active in my church and deeply enjoy serving in any way I can. My passions are serving the Lord, my husband, children and grandchildren.
